Slow Cooker Boston Butt Recipe:


 
Ingredient Quantity
Boston butt pork 2 pounds
BBQ rub 1/4 cup
Brown sugar 1/4 cup
Smoked paprika 2 tablespoons
Garlic powder 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Beer (optional) 1/4 cup
BBQ sauce 1/4 cup
Honey 2 tablespoons
Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon






 

instructions:



1. Preheat the slow cooker over medium heat.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ rub, brown sugar, ground paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.

3. Rub the spice mixture all over the outside of Boston, coating it evenly.

4. Place the Boston Butt in the slow cooker and pour in the beer (if using).

5. Cover and cook for 8-10 hours or overnight.

6. After 8 hours, brush with Boston Butt BBQ sauce.

7. Cook for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until the meat is tender and breaks up easily with a fork.

8. Remove from slow cooker and let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce

- 2 tablespoons honey

- 1 tablespoon Dijon flour

1. In a small bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey and Dijon mustard.

2. Brush the glaze over the sliced Boston butt before serving.
