- 2 cups rice flour

- 1 cup burnt coconut milk

- 1/2 cup molasses

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

- 1/4 cup butter or oil

- 1/2 cup of hot water

_instructions:_


_Step 1: Prepare the dough_ .


- In a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour, coconut flakes, jaggery powder, salt and cardamom powder.

- Add butter or oil and mix well.

- Gradually add warm water and knead the dough for 5 minutes.


_Step 2: Make the dumplings_ .


- Divide the dough into small circles, about the size of a small lemon.

- Flatten each ball into a disc.


_Step 3: Drain the dumplings_ .


- Place the dishes in the steamer basket, leaving some space between each dish.

- Steam for 15 minutes or until cooked.

- Serve warm or at room temperature.

- Traditionally served with a drizzle of butter or coconut milk.
